Encapsulating Feathers

wow for starters let me tell you guys that it is super easy to encapsulate feathers that are tiny and meant for nail art design im not saying that features were meant to go in nails im saying that there are nail art suppliers who sell them tiny just for nails another pace you can get features is your craft store but they are normally big so this blog is about my experience with both types of feathers big craft store kind and nail art deco store type...
so my very first try was with the feathers from my local craft store ,they were about $2.00 for the bag and the feathers are all in pretty colors but one thing they are large in size , so you know what that means you have to cut them down to size ,so you cut away to make it fit the nail that you want....thats exactly what i did but i found for me that its harder that way the plumes on the feathers fall apart from the cutting and i found out that feathers try to resist that coat of acrylic at first, but once you pile on the acrylic  your good ,whew! but the filing i had to do after!lol so all in all my experience with the big all purpose feathers was exhausting
so since i was not happy with my first results with the regular feathers i figured its time to go ahead and and use the feathers that i bought from shebanails.com its only six to a pack for $1.99 and they come in a variety of colors ,so you see why i didnt want to experiment with those first ,but since i now have some experience im ready.... i took the time to go threw my acrylics and picked the perfect blend umm... alittle like the shade of the feather which was a big mistake !lol....so the shebanails.com feathers are tiny nail size feathers ,i had no problems at all with these i love them!the only mistake was choosing the wrong darn acrylic mix ,so it is real easy to work with feathers when using the small ones  hand picked for nails ....
i hope that you guys found my blog to be informative and r ember its only my opinion threw my own experience ...
please have a blessed day
